An incredible trip! Our experience was mainly due to the stunning weather, clear sunny skies with crystal clear water, you could see the Dolphins glide under the boat. Our two guides were brilliant and had excellent knowledge about the area. Huge shout out to Lisa! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Unforgettable Day with Nature and a Fantastic Guide What a day! Lydia was outstanding — full of passion, excitement, and genuine enthusiasm for everything we encountered. From fascinating geology to an impressive knowledge of wildlife, she brought every moment to life. Her bird expertise in particular was next-level — she could identify each one instantly and shared loads of interesting facts. During our 3-hour tour, we saw goats, red deer, fallow deer, shags, storm petrels, gannets, seagulls, grey seals, harbour porpoises, common dolphins, a golden eagle, white-tailed eagles, and even a lion’s mane jellyfish. On the return leg, we paused to observe what looked like bottlenose dolphins — just distant splashes in truth, but a lovely moment that showed their focus was on the experience, not the clock. It was thoughtful, immersive, and totally worth it. Highly recommend Seafari Easdale.

Whale and Wildlife tour. A great tour my wife booked for my birthday. Staff were super friendly, and our guide was super knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. It was a beautiful day (Monday 18th August), sadly we did not see any whales but seafari where open about about this in an email a few days prior. Regardless it was a great afternoon out seeing dolphins, porpoise, seals, eagles and other wildlife. A cup of tea and some short bread at sea was lovely as well. All in all I would recommend!

Wow I had a fantastic time with Seafari yesterday. Got to their cute little office and got kitted up in my weatherproof gear and lifejacket. The crew lasses were really attentive and jokey It was a little misty that morning but good viz all the same Our skipper gave us a briefing and then we set off. I just love ribs from my diving days and they really take off and bounce over the water; very exciting! Our tour guide was excellent. Really knew his stuff and told us lots about the slate mining history, the structures, the geology. I really liked the way we were encouraged to shout any sightings at which our knowledgeable guide would immediately switch to a description! We saw grey seals, the infamous stinky goats 🐐, red deer, fallow deer, the beautiful ‘flying barn door’ white tailed sea eagle AND its chicks! And even a Golden Eagle. …wow! The cetaceans were in short supply that day unfortunately but an earlier tour had sighted a basking shark and a large pod of dolphins! Then on to the majestic Corryveckan, the third largest whirlpool in the world! Our rib bounced on top of it as it writhed, up swelled, swirled , like a frenzied beast! It was a lush trip. I’ve seen some tremendous stuff both above and below the water and that certainly ranks with the top of them!

Absolutely fantastic experience with this tour. My partner and I booked onto the 3hr wildlife and whale spotting tour. We saw basking shark, dolphins with a pup, seals, sea eagles, porpoise. The wildlife was truly stunning, we felt very lucky. Travelling through the Correyvreckan was exhilarating through the tidal shift. We were extremely fortunate for the weather and calmness of the seas. Lydia and Jeremy were a great team despite not working together previously. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining and professional. We felt totally comfortable and at ease with our skipper and learnt so much from Lydia. On land, the staff were brilliant. They were so friendly and helpful, giving us insights to the island of Easdale. I would love to come back and can't recommend them enough.

Superb ! This trip is superb and a definite must do! All met up at harbour, provided with life belts etc and then hopped on the catamaran - was not difficult to board and only a brief step from jetty . Safety instructions provided then off touring for almost 3 hours! Our guide Rachel was excellent and very informative, we saw lots of wildlife with the pod of dolphins being exceptionally good, all around boat and jumping out water! We were fortunate to get fair weather and calm seas but it was very cold and we were told to wrap up! One of the best trips with lots of great photos ! We saw dolphins, porpoises, fallow deer, red deer, various stags, sea eagles , wild goats and numerous islands! Corryvreckan was impressive even though in a calmer state due to tides . A great few hours and well worth the ticket price

Two-hour (plus!) wildlife tour Fascinating tour of the islands on the catamaran. We saw dolphins (close up), porpoises, grey seal pups, red deer and more. Rachel, our guide, provided a detailed and informative commentary throughout; not just about the wildlife but also about human activities on the islands including slate quarrying.

Wildlife and Corryvreckan Boat tour 2 hour boat trip with Lydia and pilot/driver ? who were both great. They were as keen to see what was happening around the Slate Islands as we were, lots of knowledge and spotting lots of wildlife - porpoises, seals, sea eagles, cormorants and shags, etc etc. Corryvreckan whirlpool not as dramatic as it can be but very exciting to see the changes in tidal flows between the islands. Really enjoyable trip, well worth the money, and great to have such friendly and knowledgeable guides.

Nature at its best. We went on the corryvreckan whirlpool trip. Absolutely amazing. The crew were entertaining and knowledgeable, explaining everything about the area. The scenery is stunning, and the Corryvreckan itself? Go and see it, it's one of natures wonders. The trip was especially because we used to live on the Isle of Luing and worked there and on Lunga and Scarba. Great to be back.

Exhilarating and Engaging A well organised and informed trip of the local history and wildlife in the area. Both our skipper and guide were friendly and engaging. From initially booking this trip in August, nothing had been too much trouble for this team.

Wild & wonderful experience! We both loved this experience of being in amongst the natural forces of mother nature. The Correyvreckan whirlpools are incredible. We were tossed around in the rib by the forces of the whirlpools and at one point reaching speeds of 12 knots when the engine was cut off! We were pulled along by the tides. We were kitted out & felt safe at all times. The guides are very friendly, knowledgeable & passionate about what they do. The sea & skies were ever changing & dramatic which added to this exhilarating sea ride. All passengers thoroughly enjoyed themselves with many laughs & giggles when getting splashed & tossed about. We were also lucky enough to see a seal & other sealife along the way. I would recommend this boat ride to anyone wanting to get close to nature whilst enjoying the wild seas.

Very enjoyable trip A spur of the moment decision, we enjoyed the 2 hour trip around Lunga and Scarba, taking in Grey Dogs and Corryvreckan. Our guide, Rachel, spotted wildlife and gave us background information about the slate islands and the history of the area. Having read some of the other reviews, I don't know if some of them are aware that marine mammals don't turn up by appointment, the Corryvreckan whirlpool likewise, and the trip itself is well worth the money just to see these islands from a different perspective and much closer than you can see from shore. For an encore, try climbing to the top of Easdale island, a short boat trip away, for some spectacular views.
