Easdale on the West Coast of Scotland
A great departure point for our wildlife boat trips.
Visiting Easdale on the West Coast of Scotland is easy in your car or by bus. Our Ticket office and our departure point is based in the small village of Ellenabeich on the Isle of Seil, approximately 16 miles south of Oban, in Argyll and Bute on the West Coast of Scotland. To get to the Isle of Seil you will need to drive over the famous Bridge over the Atlantic.
Easdale Island, the smallest inhabited island of the Inner Hebrides, is located a short 2 minute ferry ride from Ellenabeich.
Our customers often ask us whether they are in Easdale or on Seil, well, it’s both actually! Ellenabeich and Easdale Island together are known as Easdale.
Easdale Island and Seil Island are part of the Slate Islands along with Luing and Belnahua.
Easdale is a wonderful place to visit, not just for our boat trips, you can also spend time exploring Easdale Island, a beautiful car free island with walks around the flooded slate quarries. There are stunning views over to Mull, Scarba and Belnahua and make time to pop into The Puffer Bar and Restaurant for some mouth-watering home-made food.
